As a freelancer, and someone who works from home (most of us do now), it's easy to get distracted by literally anything and everything. Establishing some habits to boost creativity helps me stay productive. These are some of my favorite tips and tools for enhancing the creative process and motivation.

When we take a portrait, we don't just take a photo — we tell a unique story, capturing personality and emotion in meaningful ways that give color to the life in front of the lens. It is an artform, an exercise in human connection, and a tangible recreation of the human experience, all in one. But behind it all is a process that is so much more than point and snap.

Here, in collaboration with Artifact Uprising, our favorite print shop, we take a closer look at that process — starting with 12 portrait photography tips and techniques that every photographer can employ in their own shoots.

For this month's moodboard, I have chosen deep, soulful, cooling colors with a minimalistic sense of calm and an artful edge. I would recommend these colors for a soul-centered business hoping to evoke a sense of relaxation, and spiritual depth to their customers.

It's been one year and one month since I moved to Barcelona. It has quickly become my favorite home, but it has also come with its fair share of challenges. More than anything, living abroad has taught me empathy in ways I didn't fully understand before. This is what I learned this year.

Beautiful in its rich history, crumbling monuments, and struggles keeping up with the modern economy, Athens is a city I never clearly imagined in my head. Before I traveled there, I didn’t know the first thing about Albania. It turned out to be a surprising country filled with incredibly generous people, silhouettes of the Alps, pristine beaches, and historic Byzantine villages. This is a visual diary of our brief time spent in the Albanian Alps.
