Clean and Organic Skin and Hair Care

Laura came to us with an already established salon business focusing on hair cuts and color. She wanted to expand her offerings to include skincare and facials as well as pivot her business to focus on the environment and the health of her and her clients by using only clean and organic products. She needed a full rebranding service and website as well as some help with building her email list and creating content. We helped her develop a new brand that reflects her business’ values, her colorful personality, and ultimately meet her goals for the upcoming new year.

The Challenge:

Since Laura already had an established clientele and business we needed to find a branding solution that would reflect her personality and values but also communicate to her customers her new offerings and ethical commitments.

The Brand Values:

Bliss, Ritual, Tranquility

  • We chose a lot of floral elements and light, uplifting colors to emulate the feeling of Bliss

  • We helped the client to implement brand structures and processes that allow the customers to experience Ritual

  • We chose messaging and imagery that invokes a sense of calm, clear, and relaxing communication to represent Tranquility

The Solution:

We completely changed the name of her business, built her a website, created a bespoke hand-drawn logo, and created content for her social feed in order to clearly show the new direction of her business while giving her a new space in which to nurture her previous clientele. This brand is feminine, fun, and also comfortably balanced like a modern spa should be.

Fonts, Graphics, and Vibe:

In order to connect Laura's ideal clients with her we wanted the fonts and the graphics to be hand-drawn to feel more personal and authentic. We also incorporated a lot of plant life and floral decoration into the graphics and imagery to make the connection with the organic products used in her salon.

The vibe of Flaura is modern, vibrant, colorful, and a little playful. We wanted the space and the website to feel like a welcoming space to a variety of ages and be a calming landing spot for women looking to take care of themselves.

To Integrate It

As we were working together we felt like it was necessary to rename the business while also rebranding it to be more inclusive of Flaura's new offerings and communicate the importance of her new business values. Sometimes it can be difficult to pivot the messaging of a business that already has an established clientele, but if we can stay true to the values of the business owner who has made these connections, that authenticity will still show through despite the changes.

Focusing on Flaura's business values we were able to create a brand that clearly communicates the type of offerings the salon has and the personality of the owner herself. Starting with the values is so important to make sure that the business' look and message are one-and-the-same. Flaura's owner has just opened her doors to her brand new space and has a beautiful brand and website to share her new offerings and services. I cannot wait to get a facial the next time I am in town!
