February 2022 Moodboard + Playlist

February, for embracing the artist

This month is ruled by Venus, our favorite planet of creativity, sensuality, and love. We are making the most of this juicy month to embrace our inner Artist or Creator and nourish our creative hearts. The color palette this month is muted and soft like a watercolor painting. This brand inspiration would be perfect for a creator, agency that works with creatives, or any brand hoping to share their creative flair.

The Archetype of the Month

the creator archetype card by Kim Krans

This month we are embodying the Artist Archetype. This archetype allows us to generate ideas out of thin air and abolish the status quo. The Artist is curious, open, surprising, and creative by nature. The energy of this archetype is present to what is and the artist is always ready to co-create their destiny with source (whatever that may be for the individual).

  • The lightest expression:

Curious, playful, creative, surprising, full of possibility

  • The darkest expression:

Can lose their spark, feel burdened

  • Benefits:

Allows us to be present, open-minded, and disciplined with our creative expression

Ways to embrace the artist archetype

  • Forget the rules, how can you create your life to feel more free and open without worrying about what others think?

  • Ward off jadedness perhaps with some candle magic or by diving into a creative project whole-heartedly.

  • When you wake up in the morning, what could you wear that makes you feel creative and unique?

  • Create a morning routine that allows you to build your resilience and confidence to be seen in the world as the magical, creative, human that you are

  • Learn more about this archetype here in our Jungian Archetypes Self-Portrait Series.

Tarot Pull

From the Animal Spirit Deck: The Vulture: The Vulture does the job that no one else wants to. It rebalances the ecosystem by cleaning up our messes. When this card shows up, it’s a good time to re-evaluate events that you thought of as mistakes and see how you can reframe them to find their wisdom. This is also a great time to cleanse and purify your space to reset the balance.

  1. I love getting a daily-ish dose of inspiration from this account. So many incredible artists are featured and they never cease to stop me in my tracks.

  2. This woman-owned company creates the most beautiful skeins of yarn, each one looks like a painting. I am scheming a project to make just so I can use this beautiful yarn.

  3. Are you ready to get your hands dirty and jump back into the creative caverns of your mind? Good news, we are launching Love Thy Selfie, self-love, self-portrait workshop again this month!
